RAY HARROWER

Ray was born and raised in Durban, South Africa and has been involved in rugby since he was a youngster.  Ray played the game at a semi-professional level through to his Club Rugby days.  Ray has been coaching rugby for over 20 years, beginning at the D 1 club-level in South Africa, and then coaching the Waterford Rugby Football Club in England.

When Ray moved to the United States in 1999, he coached the UNL men’s rugby team for two years and later the Omaha GOATS  Both squads made deep runs in their respective divisions.  Ray founded Big Red Rugby for his sons, Henry and Axel.  He is excited to bring his love of rugby to children in Omaha and has had a great deal of success in living out his passion.

We invite this community to help list those former coaches who volunteered their time, talent, and oftentimes, their treasure, to ensure the UNL students could play this great sport.  The entire UNL rugby community thanks you for going up and beyond the call of duty!
