KEVIN JANOUSEK
Kevin was introduced to rugby in the fall of 1997 when a dorm mate took him to a UNL practice on a whim. He never looked back. “Tank,” as he was often called, played on the UNL squad from 1997-‘99 as a lock and prop. He subbed in from time-to-time with the Lincoln Rugby Club over the following two years. In 2000, Kevin joined the Army as a 31C radio operator. He took his commission as an Armor Officer in 2004 and has served two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan including many other assignments over his 24-year career. Currently, Lieutenant Colonel Janousek serves at the National Airborne Operations Center as the Director of Sustainment and Logistics. He and his wife Chelsea, along with their 3 children, reside in Papillion, Nebraska.
