JIM CROUSE
Jim Crouse played for UNL from 2005-2007 after transferring from the University of North Dakota and graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. Despite the best efforts of teammates in getting him a nickname, nothing stuck quite as well as “Jim.” In college, he made his way onto the Heart of America and the West select teams at the lock position. After college, he spent a few years running around with the Denver Barbarians before settling down with his family in Rapid City, SD. It’s close enough to his hometown and family in Mandan, ND without being too close.
He now spends his days working from home as a data scientist for a mortgage servicing company out of South Carolina in order to fund his family’s soccer obsession. His wife coaches and his two daughters play everywhere around the western United States. Jim also found the time to become the best damn certified soccer referee despite never playing soccer growing up.
Most alumni will remember Jim from his expertise in the fine art of puppeteering, although it is rumored that his skills have been waning recently due to lack of practice. Others will remember him from his skills in partying and nunchaku. When not working or chasing his kids around to their various sporting events, Jim enjoys playing beer league hockey and softball and taking long walks on the beach. Someday, if lucky, he may even own a boat.
