BART FURROW

To the best of knowledge, Bart Furrow is the only UNL rugby alumnus to have received an international cap for the US Eagles 15’s, a feat he earned on May 23rd, 1998 Vs. Canada in the Pacific Rim Rugby Championship in Vancouver. He would later earn four more caps as a front row player for the Eagles.

Bart made his way to the Lincoln campus by way of Ft. Collins, CO as a guard on the Husker football teams of the early 90’s.  Post-football, he transformed his 290lb lineman body to a svelte 260lb prop as he transitioned to the sport of rugby.  After graduating from UNL with a business degree in 1994, he gained valuable playing experience playing for the University of Christchurch in New Zealand, the GHK Rugby Club in Glasgow, Scotland, the Boulder Rugby Club in Boulder, CO as well as the Denver Barbarians where he and his team won the Harp Super League championship.

Bart is currently the senior vice president of sales for Worldwide Machinery, LTD.  He and his wife have four children and live in Ft. Collins.
